Refuse-Derived Fuel
(RDF) is the fuel produced from the high calorific value
materials in solid wastes. By using the highly precise
WST waste sorting technology, the perishable wet materials,
harmful contaminants and non-combustible materials are
removed from the municipal solid waste. The finished
RDF is dehydrated and can be stored for long time. Currently,
many countries such as USA, Japan and some European
countries are using RDF as alternative fuel for electricity
generation or applying in co-combustion with coal. It
lessens the volume of waste being buried and lengthens
the life span of landfills.
